Painting, clay, and room to create.

A space for those creative moments — painting, drawing and sensory clay modelling, with equipment adapted so nobody is left out.

Whatever the mood, something can be made.

The Arts & Crafts Room is for painting, drawing, sensory clay modelling and making decorations and cards for special occasions — the opportunities are wide open. Specialist equipment, including an easel that adjusts to different reach and grip needs, long-handled paint brushes and large-grip colouring and drawing tools, means people of all abilities can take part.

Adjustable, tilting art tables make the space workable for wheelchair users and people who need a different angle to work at, so creating is about the person, not the equipment getting in the way.

How it can help

What creative time can support.

Self-expression

Painting, drawing and modelling can support self-expression for people who find words harder.

A calmer mood

Creative sessions can support a sense of calm and lower stress.

Independence

Adjustable, easy-grip equipment can support people to create with less hands-on help.

Confidence

Finishing a piece can support a sense of achievement and self-worth.

Equipment that adapts

Tools built so nobody sits out.

An adjustable easel, long-handled brushes, large-grip colouring and drawing equipment, and tilting art tables mean the room works for a wide range of abilities and reach.
